Today I’m sharing 20 brilliant school holidays memes. Here in the UK, there are two types of parents – those who claim to love having their children home with them… And the rest of us! I feel no shame in saying that we struggle in the school holidays. A house full of neurodiverse teens and a WAHM = chaos! Routines go out of the window, sleep regresses to that of a newborn, and emotions run high. So with that in mind, I wanted to share some memes for the parents who are also hating the school holidays…
Brilliant School Holidays Memes for Mums
I think most mums can relate to this one! Most of us want the school holidays to be lovely… Reality doesn’t usually live up to that goal, though…

Miss Hannigan is basically my idol – Imagine being able to get the kids up, fed, dressed, the house clean, and the laundry done before 9am, and still find the time for a side-hustle… (Bathtub gin, anyone)? *hic*

Any mum who tells you they don’t have “a look”, is lying. For me, it’s this face but with a slight head-tilt. My kids definitely know it means trouble when they get home, and I find myself wearing it more and more as the school holidays progress. So this definitely qualifies as one of the brilliant school holidays memes for mums.

True story! Week one, coughing up £50 for an activity seems like daylight robbery. By week 5, parents remember that their the will to live is far more valuable…

We’ve all been here! I used to count down the seconds until my ex husband “clocked off” work, and I’d run for the hills to walk the dogs. Nowadays, there’s nobody to tap out with, so I mostly lock myself in the bathroom for a 2 hour bath, with my kindle, a cup of tea and my AirPods for company, as soon as things quieten down in the evening.

When it comes to brilliant school holidays memes, I don’t think any parent can deny this one. Teachers are heroes. The end. Ok, not the end – just the end of the brilliant school holidays memes for mums. Time to move on to brilliant school holidays memes for teachers…
School Holidays Memes for Teachers
Teachers and school staff are possibly the ONLY adults who enjoy the school holidays, so it seems fair they get their own memes…
I reckon every teacher must be thinking this as they hand kids over to their parents on the last day of term. Do you agree?

My teacher friends definitely SPRINT from the building on the last day of term…

This one made me LOL more than it probably should have, as a parent.

The teachers I know are definitely guilty of this. Meanwhile most of my non teacher friends are decorating for Autumn on 1st September! (Me too)!

This is the only one of the school holidays memes for teachers I’m sharing that I’m confident was created by a teacher! Do you agree? Now we’ve covered parents and teachers, it’s only fair we give the kids a go…
School Holidays Memes for Kids

Why is it kids find it so much easier to get up early on non school days?!

This is definitely every teenager’s plans for the school holidays. Sigh.

And this is the soundtrack to their school break!

They are bottomless pits, I’m sure of it!

I don’t think this one needs an explanation tbh. It’s my favourite of the School Holidays Memes for Kids I’m sharing today. Now we’ve covered parents, teachers and kids, it’s only fair we cover back to school too…
Back to School Memes
The school holidays may have only just began, but they’ll end… eventually. So it’s only fair I equip you with some back to school memes as well…

We can all relate, Mel! This is my favourite of the back to school memes – Mostly because I’m of Scots descent, and this meme makes me smile every time I see it. If you’ve not seen Braveheart, watch it immediately!

Yep – This is every mum I know on back to school day! Can you relate?

This is definitely an accurate description of every teacher and teenager, the night before back to school!

Hard agree – this is definitely every teacher I know!

An accurate description of my kids the morning they go back to school.

This is the final of the back to school memes I’m sharing, and I think it’s 100% accurate! Let me know in the comments which of the brilliant school holidays memes I’ve shared is your favourite! Why not follow me on instagram?
Due to the nature of memes, it’s hard to find the original source. None of these memes were created by myself – I have merely collated them into this post. I have, of course, left watermarks in tact when they are on images. If you require credit, please get in touch.
